System Gateway (fan expansion for Android: Netrunner)

About this board game

System Gateway is a 2021 fan expansion for Android: Netrunner for 2 players, with games designed to take around 45 minutes. As Null Signal Games’ foundational Netrunner set, it offers an accessible way for two people to begin playing.

The set is designed as an out-of-the-box learning experience. Its cards are straightforward yet powerful, making them suitable for learning the game while also providing a strong foundation for a growing collection.

Getting started is simple. One copy of System Gateway, a handful of different-coloured counters, and the Learn to Play Guide are all two players need to learn Netrunner using pre-constructed Starter decks.

• Pre-constructed Starter decks for learning the game
• A full set of all the cards for deck customization
• Support for continued play beyond the introductory experience

After learning with the Starter decks, players can use the complete card set to build their own pair of custom decks. This creates a natural progression from guided first games to more personalized play, while keeping the same set useful as players continue exploring Netrunner.

System Gateway is therefore both an approachable introduction and a cornerstone for a player’s collection. Whether used to teach a new player or to begin experimenting with custom decks, it provides the essential cards and learning path needed to start playing.
