About this board game
Lords of Vegas is a casino-building board game for 2–4 players, with each game taking about 90 minutes. Set in a burgeoning Nevada city, it challenges powerful developers to turn empty lots, parking lots, and dreams into profitable casinos along “The Strip.”
Players build lots by paying money and placing dice that match the values shown on the board spaces. Each lot also receives a casino tile in one of seven colors, and adjoining lots of the same color form a single casino. The player with the highest die value in a casino becomes its boss.
On every turn, a new lot card is revealed. Its casino color determines which built casinos score money and points, creating opportunities to expand your developments, challenge rival control, and seek the most valuable positions. Money is earned for each lot in a casino, while points go to the casino’s owner.
- Build and expand: Develop lots and connect matching casino colors.
- Take control: Use dice values to become boss of rival casinos.
- Make deals: Trade lots, casinos, and money with other players.
- Take risks: Gamble in opponents’ casinos to make more money.
Although money fuels development and opportunities, only points matter in the end. Lords of Vegas rewards players who can put the best bosses in control of the richest casinos while navigating changing development opportunities and high-stakes decisions.
The game includes a board, 55 cards, casino blocks, dice and chips in four colors, poker chips, turn summaries, money, and the rules. Start with little more than open lots, then build, reorganize, negotiate, and roll your way toward victory.
