About this board game

SpaceCorp: 2025-2300 AD is a board game for 1–4 players, with a listed play time of 240 minutes, in which Earth-based enterprises explore and develop outer space across three eras.

Each player seeks profit by driving humanity’s expansion through the Solar System and beyond. Assemble a spaceport at a Lagrange Point, launch an exploration mission to Mars, mine asteroids, and pursue valuable discoveries on distant worlds.

The game unfolds across three different boards, each representing a new stage in humanity’s progress:

  • Mariners: Explore and develop space out to Mars.
  • Planeteers: Settle the outer Solar System.
  • Starfarers: Send missions to nearby star systems and establish interstellar colonies.

As development advances, players can earn profit from exotic resources on the Jovian moons, discover microbial life in the subsurface oceans of Charon, and decode exo-DNA to develop radiation-resistant human pioneers. The race for progress can lead from generation ships bound for Alpha Centauri to technological breakthroughs enabling faster-than-light travel.

Ultimately, enterprises may establish a colony in the Tau Ceti star system. With its three-era structure, SpaceCorp offers a sweeping arc of exploration, settlement, scientific discovery, and interstellar expansion. The game is based on Ejner Fulsang’s SpaceCorp book, the first volume of the Galactican Series.
