About this board game

Trismegistus: The Ultimate Formula is an alchemical strategy game for 1–4 players, played in about 120 minutes. Across three rounds, you will pursue the legacy of Hermes Trismegistus by transforming base metals, conducting experiments, and seeking everlasting greatness.

Each round begins with custom dice being rolled and grouped by type. You draft exactly three dice over the course of the game, then use their untapped potency to shape your actions. The material shown on a chosen die determines which essences and materials you can collect, while its color influences the transmutations available to you.

Refine raw materials and increase your mastery of the elements as you develop your alchemical expertise. Your available actions can include:

• Transmuting precious materials and collecting alchemical essences
• Purchasing and activating artifacts to enhance your transmutations
• Performing experiments that advance you along four mastery tracks
• Building a secret hand of publication cards

Careful planning is essential as you decide when to draft a new die and when to utilize the potency of one already drafted. The decisions made during your experiments and transmutations contribute to your final score, alongside your publication cards, completed Philosopher’s Stone formulas, and collected gold.
