About this board game

6 nimmt! 25 Jahre is a 2–10-player card game with an approximate play time of 45 minutes, where everyone races to collect as few points as possible.

To begin, four number cards are placed face-up to start four rows, and each player receives ten cards. Every turn, players simultaneously choose and reveal a card. Cards are added in ascending order to the row ending with the highest number below the played card.

When a player places the sixth card in a row, they take the other five cards as points, while their card starts a new row. Each number card has a point value, so seemingly harmless choices can quickly become costly. After ten rounds, players total their scores; when someone reaches at least 66 points, the player with the fewest points wins.

  • Simultaneous play: Select and reveal cards together, then resolve them by number.
  • Changing dynamics: The game supports 2–10 players, with the experience shifting as more players join.
  • Card-count variant: With three or more players, you can use a reduced deck of 34, 44, 54, or other cards to make the cards in play easier to track.

Alongside the standard game, 6 nimmt! 25 Jahre includes 28 special cards for a faster two-round variant. Each player starts with three special cards and may play one just before placing a number card.

These effects can open a fifth row, move a previously placed card, insert a card between two others, allow up to six cards in a row, block a row, or replace the card you played. Unused special cards remain with players between rounds. After the second round, the player with the lowest score wins.
