About this expansion

Boss Monster: Tools of Hero-Kind is a 26-card mini-expansion for 2–4 players, designed for a 20-minute game of Boss Monster: The Dungeon Building Card Game.

This expansion introduces Item cards, transforming the adventurers exploring your dungeon from a resource you harvest into an undeniable threat. As Heroes come into town, magical weapons, armor, items, and scrolls attach themselves to them.

Attached Items grant Heroes powerful Power-Up abilities, increasing the danger they represent as they enter your dungeon. However, greater risks bring greater rewards. If you defeat a Hero carrying an Item, you can use that Item’s one-time Reward effect to further your own nefarious goals.

Tools of Hero-Kind adds new cards and rules centered on the relationship between Heroes and their equipment. Items can make adventurers more dangerous, while defeating those equipped Heroes gives you access to additional effects.

Released in 2013, Boss Monster: Tools of Hero-Kind is a compact addition for players who want to bring Item cards, Advanced Rooms, and Spells into their Boss Monster experience. All cards measure 88mm x 63mm, matching the original game.
