About this expansion
Rattus: Pied Piper is a 2–4-player board game with a playing time of about 45 minutes, set in Europe in 1348 as the Black Death ravages the continent.
Players call on a selection of medieval personalities for help in the struggle against the plague. This release introduces 12 new personalities, expanding the ways players can respond to the spreading threat.
Different figures rely on very different sources of influence. The Queen and the Emperor use wealth and power to aid the players, while the Nun and the Bishop draw on wisdom and faith to avoid the plague.
- 12 new personalities ready to provide assistance
- Power and wealth represented by the Queen and Emperor

Others turn to magic and witchcraft, including the Pied Piper himself. With his magical flute, he can lure the rats along with him, offering a distinctive way to confront the danger.
With its plague-ravaged medieval setting and contrasting personalities, Rattus: Pied Piper brings together power, faith, wisdom, and supernatural aid. Released in 2010, it challenges 2–4 players to seek help from these remarkable figures while Europe faces the Black Death.
