About this expansion

Dungeon Petz: Bonus Pets features two additional pets for Dungeon Petz, with play for 2–4 players and a playing time of 90 minutes. Released in 2012, it introduces Yummy and Skelly, each with unusual needs that change how their owners manage them.

Yummy, known as Mampfi in German, is easy to care for in one very specific way: Yummy wants to eat constantly. Depending on the turn, this pet eats either meat or vegetables. Yummy also has rainbow-coloured requirements, creating a special decision before cards are drawn.

  • Choose a colour and play a card face down before drawing cards.
  • The face-down card cannot be used during that round.
  • Meet Yummy’s changing meat or vegetable needs as the turn dictates.

Skelly, or Knochi in German, is not an original pet but a deceased imp whose kin decided to keep him. He comes with a potion from the hospital. As a skeleton, Skelly neither eats nor sleeps, giving this pet a very different set of considerations.

Every food requirement played on Skelly makes him depressed, so feeding requirements must be treated carefully. Since Skelly will not sleep, using a potion on him allows the owner to choose a base requirement that applies during exhibitions and selling.

With these two contrasting pets, Dungeon Petz: Bonus Pets adds distinctive requirement puzzles without changing their core identities. Yummy demands repeated attention to food and colour, while Skelly turns food requirements and potion use into unusual choices for exhibitions and sales.
