Sub Terra: Investigation is a 2017 cave-searching board game for 1–6 players, with a listed play time of 90 minutes. With help from a mysterious corporation, you return to the darkness to look for friends who did not make it out alive.

Investigation adds 15 new item cards to the cave experience. These items grant your cavers powerful abilities, giving the search a collection of valuable tools to discover and use.

The items are not simply handed to you. You can recover them from the cave floor as you explore, or you can choose the ruthless Agent, who begins fully equipped. This creates two distinct ways to approach the return journey, depending on the role you select and the resources available to you.
