Unfathomable: From the Abyss is a 2024 expansion for Unfathomable that supports 3–6 players and adds roughly 180 minutes of peril to the SS Atlantica’s journey to Boston.

The ship now faces an even more dangerous Atlantic Ocean. Violent waters can sweep passengers overboard, while new treacheries create fresh opportunities to sabotage the Atlantica. With the mythos deck doubling in size, threats can emerge at every turn.

Three horrifying new monsters, known as horrors, assault the ship: the Shoggoth, the Drowned Spirit, and the Grasping Tendril. Each is incredibly dangerous and difficult to defeat, giving the humans aboard the Atlantica formidable new challenges to overcome.

• Allies: Rescuing passengers can grant access to ally cards that move independently around the ship and help keep it afloat.
• Prelude cards: Three varieties alter the conditions at the start of the game and add more variety to each voyage.
• New content: Eight new playable characters join additional skills, items, and brand-new boon cards.

These additions expand the struggle between the passengers and the forces threatening their voyage. Allies provide new ways for the humans to receive aid, while preludes ensure that no two games need begin under exactly the same conditions.

With more characters, mechanics, dangers, and ways to support the ship, From the Abyss intensifies the dramatic experience of Unfathomable. It is designed for players seeking fresh threats and expanded variety aboard the SS Atlantica.
