About this expansion

Akropolis: Athena is an expansion for 1–4 players that adds a 25-minute challenge to the city-building game Akropolis. Set in the Ancient Mediterranean, it has architects competing to create prestigious cities and earn the favor of Athena, goddess of wisdom, war, and artisans.

This expansion introduces Construction cards with specific layout requirements. Build carefully within your city to match each card, then claim its rewards. Every architect can complete each Construction card only once, making resource management and tile placement important throughout the game.

Akropolis: Athena combines the core rules of the base game with the additional pressure of meeting precise construction goals. Players must balance their plans for city development with the opportunities offered by the available cards, while choosing when and where to place their tiles.

The game ends when only one tile remains in the Construction Site and all stacks have been used. Players then score as usual, with an additional reward for those who have completed the Statue of Athena: their Stones are worth extra points. The architect with the most prestigious city wins.
