About this expansion

Ankh: Gods of Egypt – Pharaoh is an expansion for 2–5 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes, that brings the struggle between the gods into the human world of ancient Egypt.

The Pharaoh stands as prophet, priest, and ruler, entrusted with maintaining Ma’at—the cosmic balance and order of the land. As the gods seek support during their war, the Pharaoh refuses to let one deity decide Egypt’s fate alone. He protects the people, honors all gods equally, and guides the transition toward monotheism while he remains alive.

In this expansion, divine conflict reaches the royal palace. Send your priests into the palace to influence the Pharaoh’s affairs, manipulate different offices, and gain political advantage. Your aim is not only to advance your chosen god’s cause, but also to steer the Pharaoh toward recognizing the ultimate divinity of the one true god. Without dominance in the human sphere, even divine ambition may end in oblivion.

The expansion adds a dedicated collection of figures, cards, and palace components to the core game:

  • One Golden Pharaoh figure and 30 priest figures representing ten Egyptian gods
  • A Palace dashboard, five Sphinx tokens, and four Sphinx cards
  • Forty Political cards for the palace-focused struggle
  • A rules booklet

Ankh: Gods of Egypt – Pharaoh offers a new political dimension to the divine contest, connecting the gods’ battle with the social and political needs of mortal Egypt. Kickstarter backers also receive five exclusive 3D sculpted plastic Sphinx pieces and a deluxe Palace Board printed on thick cardboard.
