About this board game
Beatz’n’Catz is a cooperative talking game for 2–6 players that takes about 15 minutes to play. With its feline beat and accessible challenges, it invites everyone to join in, whether or not they can sing, dance, or beatbox.
The game begins with a shared rhythm: everyone says “BEATZ ’N’ CATZ!” together, again and again, until a beatboxing feeling takes hold. As the challenge develops, players must work together to handle increasingly demanding combinations.
- Keep the beat as a group.
- Memorise and perform the required moves.
- Manage different words and additional movements.
- Adapt to changing speeds, syllable counts, and numbers of bars.
These combinations create a lively test of timing, memory, and coordination. The aim is to meet the challenges together and beat the high score, making success a shared achievement rather than an individual victory.
Beatz’n’Catz is designed to be approachable: you do not need special singing, dancing, or beatboxing skills to take part. Its focus on spoken rhythms, movement, and cooperation makes each session an energetic group activity with plenty of room for mistakes, concentration, and repeated attempts.
Released in 2024, the game offers a compact cooperative experience built around voice, rhythm, and escalating challenges. Gather your group, find the beat, and see how well you can keep up with the next combination.
