Biddle

About this board game

Biddle is a dice-bidding game for 2–5 players that plays in about 35 minutes. Across ten rounds, players compete to judge how many rolls of six dice will be enough to complete a changing challenge.

Each round begins with a requirement for the dice. The challenge might ask for two three-of-a-kinds, a total below 12, or an exact combination such as four 3s and two 5s. Players must weigh the difficulty of the task against the number of rolls being proposed.

The first player announces how many rolls they believe will be sufficient. In turn, everyone else can call the bid, undercut it by naming a lower number of rolls, or drop out because they believe the challenge cannot be completed within the stated limit.

• Make a bid based on the challenge and your confidence in the dice.
• Undercut another player with a more ambitious estimate.
• Drop out and join the doubters when the bid seems impossible.

Once at least one player has dropped out, the participants are divided into two teams: those backing the bid and the doubters. The bidding team then attempts to satisfy the challenge in the stated number of rolls. Success earns points for the bidders, while failure rewards the players who doubted them.

Scoring escalates as the ten rounds progress, creating increasing pressure as the game unfolds. In Biddle, points can come from either completing challenges or correctly doubting them, so both bold predictions and well-timed skepticism can lead to victory.
