Black Sonata: The Fair Youth is a solo deduction game for one player, with an approximately 40-minute play time and a 2020 release. This set of mini-expansions adds new tools and challenges to the base game, with every module playable separately or combined with the others.

The Fair Youth introduces an additional mystery: discover where in London the Fair Youth is hiding. Bystanders indicate which way the Youth went from your current location, but they lie when you are already at his actual location. Deduce his position to surprise him, or earn extra points by catching the Fair Youth and the Dark Lady together and unmasking them at the same time.

The Rendezvous adds another deduction task. Determine which of seven landscape features served as a meeting place for Shakespeare and his Dark Lady. Querying a location reveals a number from 1 to 3, showing how many steps away the Rendezvous symbol is from your current location.

• The Rival Poet: Choose between two poets with different difficulty levels. The Elusive Poet can reveal a clue about the Dark Lady if caught, while the Aggressive Poet pursues you and may disrupt your plans.
• Waypoints and Traces: Gain tools for marking and tracking the Dark Lady’s location at a particular point in the stealth deck.
• The Darker Ladies: Replace the base game’s clue cards with new characteristics and a more demanding deduction challenge.

With flexible modular content, Black Sonata: The Fair Youth lets you tailor each hunt by adding one new challenge or combining several for a deeper investigation across London.
