About this board game

Clue is a murder mystery deduction game for 2–6 players, with each game taking about 40 minutes. Your goal is to discover who committed the murder, which weapon they used, and where in the mansion the crime took place.

To solve the case, question your fellow players and carefully interpret the information they reveal. The key information is concealed in the crime envelope, so clever questioning and close attention are essential as you work out which possibilities remain hidden.

This refreshed version introduces Dr. Orchid as a new character and includes special rules for two-player and team games. It also offers a faster style of play than older versions, supported by larger spaces on the board, special Red Cards, and a redesigned mansion layout.

• Move between rooms using the mansion’s more connected layout.
• Go from the kitchen directly into the dining room.
• Explore the bedroom’s ensuite.
• Use questioning and deduction to identify the hidden solution.

In a two-player or team game, four black Clue cards are placed face down in a row beside the board before the remaining cards are dealt. If the other player or team cannot answer a question, the questioner may secretly look at one of those four cards. The Red Bonus cards are not used in this format.

With its updated mansion, additional character, and dedicated two-player rules, Clue offers a streamlined take on the classic search for the culprit, weapon, and location.
