About this board game

Colorful is a 2019 group game for 2–6 players that takes about 15 minutes to play. It challenges players to connect broad topics with specific examples and secretly match those ideas to color cards in their hands.

Each round, one player comes up with a specific example within a broad topic. The rest of the group then considers that example and secretly selects a color card from their hand to match it.

The heart of Colorful is the way players categorize and interpret the same idea together. A single topic can lead to different examples, while one example can inspire different color associations, creating a shared challenge around matching as a group.
