Colt Express: The Time Travel Car

About this expansion

Colt Express: The Time Travel Car is a 2015 addition for 2–6 players, with games lasting about 40 minutes. It can be used with or without the Horses & Stagecoach expansion.

Place the Time Travel Car in front of the Locomotive. It is adjacent to both the Locomotive’s roof and its inside, allowing a Bandit to enter with a Move action or a Horse action when playing with the expansion.

Several Bandits may occupy the car, but its special action only triggers when your Bandit is alone there at the end of a round, after resolving the event for that round if there is one. When the condition is met, every other player closes their eyes while you secretly hide your Bandit pawn.

• Hide the pawn below the Locomotive, one of the Cars, or the Stagecoach when using the expansion.
• Play the next Schemin’ phase without revealing the Bandit’s location.
• At the beginning of the Stealin’ phase, reveal the hiding place and return the pawn to the Car where it was hidden.

Once the location is disclosed, all actions are resolved as usual. This creates a concealed repositioning puzzle: your opponents must plan without knowing where your Bandit has gone.

At the end of the game, after resolving the event, a Bandit who is alone inside the Time Travel Car earns $500 and takes all loot that may be inside. In Colt Express: The Time Travel Car, timing and secrecy can turn one isolated visit into a valuable final reward.
