About this expansion

Dune: Ixians & Tleilaxu is an expansion for the Dune boardgame that adds two new factions for games with 2–6 players: the technologically advanced Ixians and the secretive, genetically superior Tleilaxu.

The Tleilaxu are led by a small council of Masters. Fanatic and xenophobic, they were tolerated because of their useful genetic engineering superiority. Underestimated and loathed by others, the Tleilaxu nevertheless hope to dominate all.

The Ixians are led by Prince Rhombur of House Vernius, a cyborg who commands a people renowned as masters of manufacturing and technologies known only to them. The royal family of Ix was once among the wealthiest in the Imperium.

These factions are integral to the economy of CHOAM and the Imperium, but their shared history has made them mortal enemies. The Tleilaxu and the Emperor’s Sardaukar successfully invaded Ix, while Ixian and Atreides forces eventually liberated it after many years.

  • Two new factions: Play as the Ixians or the Tleilaxu.
  • Distinct identities: Harness manufacturing and hidden technology, or pursue genetic engineering and Tleilaxu ambition.
  • New mechanics: Gain additional advantages over your rivals.

With its opposing factions and new ways to gain an edge, Dune: Ixians & Tleilaxu broadens the political and economic conflict at the heart of the Dune boardgame. Bring these powerful enemies into the struggle and decide which faction can shape the future of the Imperium.
