About this board game
Dystopian Wars: Core Rulebook is a tabletop combat game for 2–4 players, with games lasting around 240 minutes, set in an alternate 1870 shaped by an advanced Industrial Revolution.
The world is at war, and technology has produced fantastic naval vessels, hulking land ships, giant robots, airships, and war balloons. Take command of one of the great imperial powers and defend your territories from foreign incursion—or attempt to conquer the world.
Dystopian Wars combines naval, aerial, and land warfare within a single game system. You can focus on one branch of combat or bring every type of force together in battles and scenarios across the sea, sky, and countryside. All three military branches use the same core rules for movement and combat, while their abilities and statistics vary.
- Fast-play rules designed for large fleet actions
- Individual squadron activation, supporting multiplayer games
- A D6-based core rules engine shared with related games
- An optional 52-card game deck adding randomness and eccentric Victorian atmosphere
Fleet construction and battlefield decisions determine the margin between victory and defeat. Outmanoeuvre, harass, and destroy your opponents using highly detailed miniatures, whether you prefer rugged naval ships, impressive airships, or powerful land vessels.
Built around steampunk and Victoriana themes, Dystopian Wars offers an entertaining and violent setting for large battles that can still be played in an evening. The Core Rulebook provides the foundation for commanding your forces and fighting for control of a world transformed by technology.
