About this board game
El portero Baldomero is a deception and deduction game for 3–8 players that takes about 20 minutes to play.
One player becomes Baldomero, the affable doorman of a community building. His goal is to discover all the gossip being spoken throughout the building, while the other players take on the roles of a group of very gossipy neighbors.
The neighbors have a shared objective: prevent Baldomero from finding out everything. They must keep their gossip from the inquisitive doorman and avoid allowing him to learn the full story.
- One doorman: A player takes the role of Baldomero.
- Gossipy neighbors: The remaining players form the group working against him.
- Deception and deduction: The game centers on uncovering information while trying to conceal it.
- High-stakes snooping: If the neighbors catch Baldomero investigating, he will most likely lose his job.
Every game creates a playful battle of secrets and suspicion. Baldomero must work out what is being said in the building, while the neighbors try to keep him from discovering every gossip.
Released in 2017, El portero Baldomero offers a compact social experience built around hidden information, opposing goals, and the danger of being caught snooping. Will the doorman uncover everything, or will the neighbors successfully keep their gossip hidden?
