About this board game
Fidelitas is a medieval city card game for 1–4 players, with a play time of about 30 minutes. Players become faithful citizens seeking the credibility needed to lead a revolt against the corrupt crown.
Character cards are played to the different locations that make up the city. Each card type has a unique action that changes the position or flow of cards, while hidden objectives provide the conditions players must meet to gain points.
- Butcher: Bullies other characters to new locations.
- Student: Helps gain more cards.
- Soldier: Keeps peasants from loitering too long.
Success depends on keen maneuvering and careful attention to what the opposition is doing. Opponents’ actions may offer clues about the hidden motives behind their plays, helping you anticipate attempts to interfere with your own plans.
In Fidelitas, every character card can influence the changing situation in the city. Position cards thoughtfully, pursue your concealed objectives, and use character abilities at the right moment to advance your bid for power.
The first player to reach the required number of points—determined by the number of players—is declared worthy to lead the revolt and wins the game. Released in 2015, Fidelitas combines hidden objectives, card manipulation, and direct competition in a focused medieval struggle for influence.
