Five Tribes: Whims of the Sultan is a 2–5 player board game with an approximate play time of 90 minutes, set in the flourishing Sultanate of Naqala.

The new Sultan has founded five fabulous cities to celebrate a prosperous era. Their riches and influence have drawn fierce competition, and the fate of the Sultanate once again rests with the five tribes and the powerful Djinns.

Whims of the Sultan contains all the components needed to play five-player games of Five Tribes. It also introduces new fabulous cities tiles, adding fresh opportunities to the competition for influence and glory.

Visiting the fabulous cities allows players to pursue the Sultan’s requests by completing Whim of the Sultan cards. These objectives offer another path to glory as players respond to the demands of the newly prosperous realm.

Control of the city tiles is highly contested because it can make a major contribution to a player’s final score. With new locations to compete over and requests to fulfill, Five Tribes: Whims of the Sultan brings an expanded challenge to the struggle for the Sultanate.
