Flip Over Frog

About this board game

Flip Over Frog is a 15-minute tile-flipping game for 2–4 players, released in 2018. Help your brightly coloured frogs take control of a corner of the rainforest by cleverly placing tiles and revealing the frogs beneath them.

At the start, each player receives a secret Frog Token showing the colour they are trying to get onto the board. Everyone is dealt three tiles, then players take turns placing a tile and drawing back up to a hand of three.

Tiles can be placed on any empty space on the 4×4 board or on the back of a face-down tile. Frogs cannot be placed on top of face-up tiles. When a tile is played, the arrows surrounding its frog show which nearby tiles must be flipped, creating opportunities to hide some frogs and reveal others.

• Stacked tiles flip together when affected.
• Only the newly placed tile causes other tiles to flip.
• Four Snake Tiles can remove any one face-up Frog Tile from the game.

When a Snake Tile is used, both the snake and the frog are discarded, freeing a space for a new tile. Careful placement is essential: the board changes with every new frog, while snakes can disrupt a promising arrangement.

Play continues until no more tiles can be played or the board shows sixteen face-up frogs. The player with the most frogs face up wins. Plan ahead, watch the snakes, and use the changing board to pursue your secret colour in Flip Over Frog.
