About this board game

Gems of Iridescia is a worker-placement board game for 1–4 players, with sessions lasting about 90 minutes. Set in a fantastical world abandoned after a cataclysmic event, it challenges returning clans to explore, mine, restore, and compete for the throne.

Iridescia is lush with rare gems, but its former inhabitants were forced to take to the skies centuries ago. Now the land is safe to revisit, and four clans are returning. Your goal is to help your clan find the lost Iridia Stone, rebuild ancient relics, and reunite the people of Iridescia.

Explore by flipping over land tiles to reveal the gems hidden beneath them. Then roll dice to mine those discoveries, pushing your luck as you seek valuable results. Each gem color is linked to a dice value, and those values can be manipulated to support your plans. Roll high enough and you can claim more gems for your cargo hold.

In Gems of Iridescia, restoring relics can bring substantial Royalty Points while strengthening your claim to the throne. With exploration, dice manipulation, secret objectives, and competing scoring paths, every expedition offers a different way to pursue the future of Iridescia.
