About this board game

Guardians is a tactical, super-powered card game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes. First released in 2018, it challenges players to assemble teams of legendary heroes and fight for control of unusual locations.

The Guardians once defended justice before InterGov, the first world government, united the planet in peace. Nearly three decades later, renegade factions threaten law and order, and a new generation of heroes must rise to defend InterGov.

Each player chooses a team of three unique heroes from a roster of super-powered combatants. Every hero brings their own abilities to the battle, and players gather that hero’s unique power and Ultimate cards to create a personal deck. With numerous possible team combinations, each selection can shape a different approach to the fight.

• Knock out enemy heroes and change the course of the game with an Ultimate.

Once teams are ready, players take the fight to their opponents. Play powerful cards, exploit the strengths of your heroes, and contest key locations while looking for the right moment to strike.

An Ultimate is a special attack that can radically change the state of the game, turning a carefully planned battle in a new direction. Whether played by two players or in a four-player game using teams of heroes, Guardians delivers tactical clashes built around character combinations, card play, and control of the battlefield.
