About this board game
Guess Club is a knowledge and mind-reading game for 2–8 players, with a playing time of about 30 minutes. Across three rounds, players create hidden answers, predict what others know, and compete to finish with the most chips.
At the beginning of each round, rock–paper–scissors determines which players choose the categories. There is no fixed list of categories, so the deciding player can select anything they can support with at least 10 answers, such as Asian countries or Olympic ball sports.
Once the category is known, everyone writes or draws answers on cards. Each card must contain a different answer, and your entries must remain secret. Internet search engines are not allowed, making your own knowledge the only resource available during play.
- Choose categories through rock–paper–scissors.
- Write or draw different answers on your cards.
- Guess other players’ answers or predict how many correct answer sets the round will produce.
- Play three rounds, then compare chip totals.
The challenge in Guess Club comes from balancing what you know with what you think your opponents know. Broad categories may offer many possibilities, while your guesses depend on reading the people around the table and anticipating their answers.
After the third round, the player with the largest sum of chips wins. With open-ended categories, hidden responses, and predictions about correct answer sets, each game invites a fresh contest of memory, creativity, and clever mind reading.
