About this board game
Human Punishment: The Beginning is a standalone semi-cooperative social deduction and pick-up-and-deliver game for 3–6 players, with an approximate play time of 180 minutes.
Players try to avoid a secret Machine revolution, but Machine spies are everywhere. These spies work to corrupt the Human players, creating a tense struggle in which trust is uncertain and every faction pursues its own goals.
The world also includes the Outlaws, Fallen, and Legion, just as in Human Punishment. Rather than sharing a single objective, the factions have their own interests, making cooperation essential but never entirely secure.
- Social deduction with hidden Machine spies
- Semi-cooperative play driven by competing faction goals
- Pick-up-and-deliver gameplay
- Objectives involving Machines, Apex, Deus X Machina, and corruption
Fight Machines, build Apex, and avoid Deus X Machina while trying not to become corrupted. Every decision contributes to a battle over the future—and the history—of Humanity.
A key feature is the CWS (Connecting World System). This mechanic gives you the option to combine Human Punishment: The Beginning with Human Punishment: Social Deduction 2.0 for an epic theme night with your own outcome.
Although Human Punishment: The Beginning can be played fully on its own, its connection to the other game offers an additional way to experience this setting. Released in 2022, it invites players to uncover hidden loyalties and rewrite the history of Humanity.
