About this board game
Humanity is a tile-and-worker placement game for 2–4 players, with play lasting around 90 minutes. Set in the near future of 2073, it challenges players to manage resources and time while building a base for scientific civilian settlers.
Each turn, you choose whether to produce resources or spend them. Send one of your three astronauts to the automated station to obtain new base modules or carry out experiments that further research.
The automated station is central to your plans, but distance matters. The farther you go to obtain a specific module, the later your astronaut will return to the scientific base to connect it. Timing is therefore a tool as important as the resources you gather.
- Place tiles and workers as you develop your scientific base.
- Produce and spend resources to advance your plans.
- Send astronauts to acquire modules or conduct experiments.
- Balance distance and return time when choosing your actions.
As you play Humanity, every decision connects construction, research, and logistics. You must anticipate when resources will be available, which module you need, and how much time your astronaut’s journey will consume.
With its focus on anticipation and careful timing, Humanity presents a future-facing challenge built around the interaction of resource management, worker placement, base development, and scientific research.
