About this board game

Key to the Kingdom is a 2022 adventure game for 2–5 players, with a play time of approximately 90 minutes. This restoration of the 1990 classic invites players to explore the Demon King’s domain using its distinctive hole-in-the-board portal mechanism.

You play as one of the kingdom’s not-so-mightiest heroes: the Pitiless Pixie, Knovice Knight, Unique Unicorn, Merciless Mercenary, or Gnarled Gnome. Your goal is to gather the three pieces of the magic key, then hop through a portal and defeat the Demon King once and for all.

Adventure across the kingdom by rolling dice, while using your collection of items to gain greater control over their whims. Choosing the right item before setting out on an adventure can give you an easier path through, making preparation an important part of your journey.
