About this board game

Kung Fu Fighting is a 2004 card game for 2–6 players that plays in about 30 minutes. It simulates an all-out brawl between kung fu masters, with each player aiming to be the last fighter standing.

Players are dealt a hand of cards and take turns attacking their opponents with stylish moves, including the dreaded Running up the Wall-Spinning-Flipping-Kick. Attacks can be strengthened with enhancements, while weapons and fighting stances add further options during the battle.

  • Attack cards let players target other kung fu masters.
  • Attack enhancements can make attacks more powerful.
  • Weapons and fighting stances bring distinctive combat effects to the brawl.
  • Blocks and counter attacks give defenders ways to answer incoming moves.
  • Chi restoration cards help players recover health during the fight.

When attacked, a defending player can respond with a block card or counterattack with certain powerful cards. If the attack gets through, the defender loses chi. Once a player runs out of chi, that kung fu master is knocked out and leaves the battle.

The fight continues until only one player remains. That surviving fighter becomes the True Master. Easy to learn and quick to play, Kung Fu Fighting captures the flavor of Hong Kong’s famous cinematic battles in a compact card game for 2–6 players.
