Legendary: A Marvel Deck-Building Game (Second Edition) is a Marvel-themed deck-building game for 1–5 players, with an average play time of 60 minutes. Lead heroes such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Wolverine against powerful villains and the evil Mastermind.

Each player begins with a personal deck of basic Hero cards. On your turn, reveal the top card of the Villain Deck: villains may invade the city, capture Bystanders, or trigger special events. Then play Hero cards from your hand to generate Attack, Recruit, and other special abilities.

Use Attack to fight Villains and Recruit to gain stronger Heroes. Whenever your deck runs out, shuffle your discard pile to create a new deck that includes the Heroes you recruited, steadily improving your options throughout the game.

Build enough Attack to challenge the Mastermind, but do not take too long. The Mastermind pursues a different evil Scheme in every game, and if that Scheme is completed before the players defeat them, all players lose.

This expanded-and-improved Second Edition redevelops about 250 cards to make them more flavorful, fun, and balanced. It remains completely compatible with previous Legendary Marvel releases, making it a substantial core set for new and returning players.
