Medici: The Dice Game is a fast-to-learn dice-selecting, roll-and-write game for 1–4 players, with a playing time of about 20 minutes. Designed by Reiner Knizia and released in 2020, it shares the setting and feel of the classic Medici board game while presenting its mercantile challenge through dice.

Across three rounds, players fill their ships with the goods presented at the wharf. Each round gives you opportunities to select dice and shape your cargo, turning simple rolls into decisions about which goods to pursue and how to build the most valuable load.

The scoring rewards more than simply collecting goods. Players earn money for having the most valued loads, while also competing to collect majorities in the different goods. This creates a focused contest in which individual cargo value and competition for categories both matter.
