About this board game

Micro Cosmos is a card-based resource management game for 1-4 players, with an average play time of 90 minutes. Players explore space, terraform planets, create colonies, and bring survivors back to their home worlds.

On each turn, players move their spaceship, known as the Ark, and use cards in one of three different ways. These cards help players gain and convert resources while performing actions on planets, moons, and space stations.

Victory points come from several connected goals. Players can work toward fully terraforming planets, scout for survivors, settle those survivors on their home worlds, and establish colonies on the planets they visit. Each choice contributes to the race for the highest score.

The game ends once a set number of planets has been fully terraformed. At that point, the player with the most victory points is considered the winner, making efficient resource use and careful planning essential to success.

Micro Cosmos also includes a robust solo mode powered by a simple Automa deck. The deck performs the AI players’ actions, while multiple difficulty levels provide a challenge for different types of players. Released in 2023, the game offers a space-themed experience for both competitive groups and solo play.
