Mountain Goats: Legacy is a 45-minute board game for 2–5 players that combines dice rolling, dice combination, and events in an evolving mountain-climbing adventure.

Each turn, roll your dice and combine their results to race upward. Reaching the top lets you score, but other goats can knock you off, sending you back into the struggle for position. The game’s goat symbol introduces another layer of possibility: rolling it activates one of the unlocked player powers.

As the story progresses, abilities rotate with every mission. You will unlock increasingly powerful options while encountering tougher challenges, new hazards, and gameplay changes. The mountain itself may even transform beneath your feet, keeping the developing adventure in motion.

Mountain Goats: Legacy is designed to work as either a standalone session or a longer campaign-style experience. The first session can also be combined with the original Mountain Goats game, offering a way to bring the two experiences together.

With its changing abilities, escalating hazards, and transforming mountain, Mountain Goats: Legacy builds on the original game while preserving the central excitement of racing for the summit and trying not to get knocked off.
