Mysterium: Secrets & Lies is a 2017 board game for 2–7 players with a 42-minute play time, in which a ghost uses dream cards to communicate the story of their demise.
This set introduces a different challenge from identifying a single object. Instead, the ghost must convey a complete story, giving each investigator clues that point toward one possible way the ghost died.

The story cards can replace the object cards in the game. Each story card represents one way in which the ghost died, adding more nuance to the clues investigators must interpret.
Rather than guiding investigators toward an individual item with little room for interpretation, the ghost uses the dream cards to communicate a connected account of their demise. This makes the task of conveying and interpreting clues far more challenging.
Mysterium: Secrets & Lies focuses on the tension between a ghost’s intended message and the investigators’ understanding of it. With new characters, locations, items, and story cards, it offers a fresh way to explore the game’s dream-card communication system.
