About this board game
Neoville is a city-building board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes. It challenges architects to create a harmonious 4×4 city where human habitation and the natural world exist together.
Players strategically position tiles to develop their city with skyscrapers and utilities. Every placement contributes to the shape and character of the city, so thoughtful planning is essential as the urban landscape takes form.
At the end of the game, skyscrapers are worth harmony points based on two factors: their value and the size of their district. Building larger districts can therefore make a major difference, but the city must still meet the requirements associated with its structures.
- Build a city on a 4×4 layout.
- Position skyscrapers to benefit from their value and district size.
- Place utilities where they fit their specific requirements.
- Avoid structures that fail to meet their requirements, since they count as negative points.
Utilities reward players when their position in the city matches their own requirements. However, skyscrapers and utilities that do not meet their requirements can reduce your score, making balance just as important as ambition.
Neoville asks a simple but demanding question: who can design the most harmonious city with nature? With its compact 4×4 city and competing scoring considerations, each decision helps define the final urban landscape.
