Obsession: Wessex Expansion is an expansion for 1–4 players that adds a new family board, additional guests, and six solitaire opponents to the game. With a listed play time of 90 minutes, this 2018 release broadens the available options for your Obsession sessions.

The centerpiece of the expansion is the Family Wessex player board. This family begins with the advantage of a larger starting country estate, giving its player a distinct starting position within the game.

At the beginning of the game, the player selecting Family Wessex chooses between two second-level improvements for their manor house: the Breakfast Room or the Tennis Court. This choice gives the new family board its own specific starting option.

The Wessex Expansion also increases the range of guests available during play. It includes five additional Starter Guests, five additional Casual Guests, and five additional Prestige Guests, adding 15 guests in total.
