About this board game

Pacific Ocean is a quick 18-card set collection game for 1–3 players, with play lasting about 10 minutes. Create a marine sanctuary, attract aquatic animals, and compete to earn the highest score on the Pacific Ocean’s leaderboard.

Each turn, select two Aquatic Animal cards from your hand. Place one face up and the other face down, then let the other player choose one card for their sanctuary. You add the remaining card to your own sanctuary, making every selection matter for both sides.

• Choose cards that add useful animal icons to your sanctuary.
• Use cards to create scoring conditions instead.
• Keep track of how each animal affects your final points.

Cards can be added in two different ways. Place a card underneath your sanctuary with only its top exposed to show its icons, or expose the bottom of the card to display its scoring condition. This creates a compact tableau where the same card choices can shape your available icons or your end-game goals.

After six turns, both players score by checking which scoring conditions their sanctuaries satisfy. The player with the most points wins and claims the title of the Pacific Ocean’s Best Marine Sanctuary.

With its small card count and fast play time, Pacific Ocean focuses on meaningful choices in a compact format. Decide what to reveal, what to give your opponent, and how to arrange each new inhabitant as you work toward the strongest possible sanctuary.
