Piña Pirata

About this board game

Piña Pirata is a pirate-themed card game for 2–6 players, with games lasting around 30 minutes. As captain of a pirate crew, you must outplay rival pirates while searching for the legendary Golden Pineapple.

The game is played over a series of rounds. At the start of each round, every player receives eight cards. On your turn, play one card if at least one pirate shown on it also appears on the top card of the play area. If you cannot play, draw a card instead.

• Be the first player to get rid of every card in your hand.
• Win a round to claim a part of the Golden Pineapple map.
• Collect all four map parts to win the game.

Every game also features Adventure tiles, which introduce special rules that change how play unfolds. Two Adventure tiles are revealed at the beginning, and there are 40 different tiles in total. Their effects can help you play more cards than usual or prevent other players from playing theirs.

At the end of each round, the winner chooses a new Adventure tile and adds it to the ones already in play. As the game progresses, more effects are active, creating an increasingly distinctive challenge in each round.

Use your cards wisely, respond to the changing Adventures, and race across the Caribbean Sea to become a pirate of legends. With its escalating rules and map-building objective, Piña Pirata turns every round into another step toward the Golden Pineapple.
