Plato 3000 is a 2012 card game for 2–4 players, with plays lasting about 30 minutes. In this revised and improved version of the print-and-play game Utopian Rummy, players take turns rebuilding the world into a new utopia.

The heart of the game is playing sets of Job cards. These cards do more than help shape the emerging world: they can also give players powers that let them break the rules of the game. Each set therefore contributes to the developing utopia while opening up new possibilities during play.

When a player plays a Job card, other players may join in by adding their own matching Job cards. This shared response gives those players the power for their side and lets them lay more cards of their own. Matching cards can therefore create opportunities for several players, turning each play into a chance to influence the direction of the game.
