Primordial Soup: Freshly Spiced is an expansion for 3–6 players with an approximately 90-minute play time, released in 1998. Designed as the 5–6-player expansion for Primordial Soup, it adds new gene cards to the experience.

The expansion gives groups a way to play Primordial Soup with five or six players. Its new gene cards are not limited to larger games, however: they may also be used to “spice up” 3- and 4-player games.
