About this board game

Qwixx Longo is a quick-playing dice game for 2–5 players that takes about 20 minutes. Everyone participates on every turn, choosing numbers to mark on their scoresheet while trying to build the highest total.

Each player has four colored rows: red and yellow run from 2 to 16, while green and blue run from 16 down to 2. You may mark a number only when it lies to the right of all previously marked numbers in that row, so every choice helps shape your scoring opportunities.

On the active player’s turn, six eight-sided dice are rolled: two white dice and one die in each of the four row colors. Everyone may use the sum of the white dice on one of their rows. If that sum matches one of the two lucky numbers on their scoresheet, they immediately mark the next number in the row with the fewest marks, gaining an additional chance to advance.

The active player may then combine one colored die with one white die and mark the resulting total in the matching colored row. The more numbers you mark in a row, the more points it can provide, but failing to cross off a number during your active turn means taking one of four penalty boxes.

  • Eight-sided dice: Reach higher numbers than in the original Qwixx.
  • Lucky numbers: Gain extra marking opportunities when the white-dice total matches.
  • Row locks: After marking at least six numbers in a row, you may close its final spaces if the dice permit.

Marking a final space also locks that color, preventing other players from using it. The game ends when one player marks four penalty boxes or a second color is locked. Add the points from all four colors, subtract five points per marked penalty box, and the highest score wins. In Qwixx Longo, every roll creates shared opportunities, while timing and efficient row management decide the winner.
