About this board game

Riftforce is a two-player duel card game with an approximate play time of 30 minutes, released in 2021. Players compete for control of a land transformed by the mysterious Rifts, commanding elemental forces and seeking enough Riftforce to ascend and win.

Each player drafts four of ten different guilds, creating an asymmetrical alliance with its own distinctive combination of powers. Every guild brings a unique ability to the battle, encouraging players to discover new synergies and shape a strategy around the guilds they choose.

The guilds’ elementals are both your troops and the resource required to attack. On each turn, you must decide how to use your forces most effectively:

• Strengthen your position at the Rift.
• Sacrifice elementals to trigger powerful combo attacks.
• Gather support for your next turn.

Gain Riftforce by destroying your opponent’s elements and controlling locations along the Rift. The elemental guilds offer contrasting possibilities: flexible, mobile water can be combined with all-consuming fire, whose elementals can even harm their allies. Finding ways to make these powers work together is central to every duel.

Riftforce rewards careful decisions throughout its compact battles. You will continually weigh whether to protect your position, spend elementals for an immediate attack, or prepare a stronger follow-up. With different guild combinations creating fresh strategic possibilities, each game invites you to explore clever interactions and deeper layers of play.
