About this board game

Salvation Road is a cooperative post-apocalyptic survival game for 1–8 players that plays in about 75 minutes. Players guide a group of Heroes and Survivors through a barren wasteland, gathering enough Resources to make the dangerous journey to a settlement called Salvation.

The group begins in a barricaded Compound, protecting young, old, and wounded Survivors from marauding gangs. The desert beyond is scattered with the shattered remains of buildings, offering vital opportunities for scavenging while dangerous Marauders remain close behind.

In the standard game, players are assigned two Characters: one Hero and one Survivor. Both are useful, but they demand different approaches. Survivors have limitations to manage, while Heroes bring strengths that must be exploited if the group is to endure.

  • Cooperative survival: Work together to keep the Characters and the people under their protection alive.
  • Wasteland scavenging: Search the ruins for the Resources needed to continue the journey.
  • Marauder pressure: Deal with hostile gangs that pursue the group and wound them whenever they can.
  • Desperate escape: Save enough Resources to travel down the dangerous highway toward Salvation.

Some Survivors can even be recruited to help search the wasteland, but every decision takes place under pressure. The radio broadcasts promise food, water, and safety, yet reaching that haven requires the group to survive long enough to leave the Compound and complete the journey.

With scenarios supporting up to eight players, Salvation Road presents a tense struggle to protect vulnerable people while making the most of exceptional Heroes. Can everyone under your care reach safety before the Marauders bring the journey to an end?
