About this expansion

Santorini: Riddle of the Sphinx is a co-operative expansion for 1–4 players, with a play time of 20 minutes. It transforms the competitive Santorini experience into an ongoing adventure that players navigate together.

The expansion presents a series of scenarios called riddles. In each one, players must work as a team to complete tactical objectives and solve the challenge before their supply of Santorini tower pieces runs out.

Every decision contributes to the shared effort. If the tower-piece supply is exhausted before the objective is completed, the riddle remains unsolved and must be played again. This creates a clear test of co-operative planning within each scenario.

Successfully solving a riddle moves the group forward on the adventure map. Progress also unlocks new gods that can be added to future riddles, giving the continuing journey new possibilities as players advance.
