Skulk Hollow

About this board game

Skulk Hollow is a two-player asymmetric tactical combat game that plays in about 40 minutes. One player commands a towering Guardian, while the other leads Foxen heroes fighting to save the kingdoms of Børe.

For generations, the ancient woodland of Børe prospered as its animal clans flourished. The Foxen Kingdom of Skulk Hollow, the spiritual Red Pandas of Cupboard, the mischievous Mice of Multon, and the Blackheart Bunnies of the East eventually lost touch with the spirit of the land, and conflict spread across the continent.

Then came The Great Return. The Guardians have risen once more, but these are not the kind, life-giving figures of spiritual legend. They are dark and ferocious, and now threaten every kingdom.

Each side has a distinct path to victory:

• The Guardian wins by eliminating the Foxen King or gaining enough Tribute.
• The Foxen Heroes win by eliminating the Guardian.

Players use action cards to move their units, summon forces, and activate special abilities. The Foxen player must take the fight directly to the enormous enemy, leaping onto the Guardian’s player board to attack and destroy different parts of the character.

This unusual scale creates a focused tactical battle: a group of agile heroes faces a single overwhelming threat, while the Guardian seeks to crush the Foxen resistance or gather the Tribute needed to prevail. With its opposing roles, dramatic woodland setting, and sharply different objectives, Skulk Hollow offers a compact duel built around movement, special abilities, and targeted combat.
