Star Realms: Cosmic Gambit Set

Star Realms: Cosmic Gambit Set is a 15-card card set for 2–6 players, released in 2015, adding hidden Gambits and the Secret Outpost Base to Star Realms.

This set introduces a different style of Gambit play. At the beginning of the game, Gambits are dealt face down to players. You choose how many each player receives, or give some players fewer Gambits as a handicap. Any unclaimed Gambits form a separate face-down pile.

Players keep their Gambits face down in front of them until they decide to reveal them. A Gambit may be revealed at the start of a player’s turn or during their Main Phase. Some Gambits trigger an action or bonus when revealed, while most also provide an additional function when scrapped.

• 13 Gambit Cards, including Acceptable Losses, Black Market, Hidden Base, Triumphant Return, Two-Pronged Attack, Veteran Pilots, and Wild Gambit
• Multiple copies of Asteroid Mining, Exploration, and Rapid Deployment

Gambit cards never enter the trade deck, a player’s hand, or their personal deck. Their silver borders make them easy to distinguish from other cards. Secret Outpost is also kept separate and is not shuffled into the Gambit cards or Trade Deck.

With face-down information, reveal timing, and effects that can change when scrapped, Cosmic Gambit Set gives Star Realms players a distinct collection of Gambits to distribute and manage throughout the game.
