About this board game

Terrace is a strategy game for 2–4 players that takes about 20 minutes to play. Its distinctive board is three-dimensional, built from 64 squares arranged in L-shaped levels that rise stepwise across the playing surface.

The terraces rise from the board’s lowest points in two diagonally opposite corners to its highest points in the other two corners. This unusual structure gives the game a clearly defined landscape for its pieces and goals.

Every piece is shaped alike and moves alike, but the pieces come in four different sizes. The smallest piece is marked with a carved letter T, making it the key piece in each player’s objective.

To win, move your T from its starting point at one corner to the opposite corner, or capture your opponent’s T. These two victory routes focus play on positioning the specially marked piece while contending with the other pieces on the rising board.
