About this board game

Texas & Pacific is a railway investment game for 2–6 players that plays in about 60 minutes. Set in the 19th-century U.S. Midwest and Texas, it puts players in the roles of wealthy investors and ranchers competing to build the greatest fortune.

The railroads are reaching new towns, business is booming, and opportunities are emerging across the plains. Players buy stock certificates from the era’s major railroads, then carefully watch the growth of the railway network and the timing of its payments.

Stock pays dividends during the game, making payment timing an important part of each player’s strategy. At the same time, players work to expand the railroads across the plains, pursuing opportunities connected to the rapidly developing train network.

In Texas & Pacific, stock is valuable for the dividends it generates during play, but it has no value in the final scoring. When the game ends, players compare their money, and the player with the most wins.
